RFI for Sports Park Facilities & Services
Specification #GP-06-09

The Orange County Great Park Corporation ("Corporation") anticipates entering into an agreement ("Development Agreement") with one or more Program Developer/Operators that will result in the development of a sports facility—or sports facility complex—in a designated area of the Orange County Great Park.

The Sports Park is envisioned to contain areas devoted to various sport activities, for example, an area of soccer fields, an area of baseball or softball fields, a tennis complex, a field house (with indoor volleyball and basketball), etc. Respondents to this Request for Information (RFI) may address any one of these areas, a combination of them, or all of them. Respondents may propose "delivery" of one particular sport, and also "operation" of that sport, or perhaps "master operation" of the whole complex.

Statements of Interest must be submitted to the Purchasing Agent no later than 5:30 P.M., August 31, 2006. Hand-delivered Statements of Interest shall be submitted at the Reception Desk located on the first floor of the Irvine Civic Center. One (1) original, five (5) copies of the completed submittal and one (1) digital version on a compact disk must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and marked on the outside as follows: "Orange County Great Park Sports Park Facilities and Services, RFI No. GP-06-09" (Please see cover sheet for additional submittal information.) Please be advised: Late proposals will not be accepted.

Submittals will be reviewed and rated on the basis of the respondent’s conceptual approach to the development and/or operation of the Sports Park, the approach to financing the project as well as the lead entity’s and/or development team’s qualifications and related experience. Based on this review, successful candidates will be invited to participate in a subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP) selection process.

Thank you for considering this Request for Information.
